The fumie-butterfly mandala is composed of broken pieces from fumie-tiles. The butterfly pictures featured in the mandala form the ghosts of the destroyed tiles, sacrificed by human’s impact on nature, and a gateway to the spiritual world.

The images are from my previous exhibition at the Gallery 4a, Asia-Australia Contemporary Art Centre, Sydney, Australia in 2004 for "Asian Traffic" is the official parallel event of 2004 Sydney Biennale and ANU school of Art Gallery, Canberra, Australia 2005.
